Erin Crowe is a contemporary portrait painter who received her MFA from Goldsmiths in London in 2007.  She received her BA with high honors from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia in 2003. 

Erin has made portraits of various financial figures- spanning the gauntlet from Warren Buffet to Fidel Castro.  Erin is perhaps most well known for her series of Greenspan pictures.  Erin painted over 50 portraits of Alan Greenspan before he retired and the economy tanked.  With the money she made from these portraits she paid for her master’s degree. 

Erin currently resides in London - where she is painting Ben Bernanke and Paul Volcker.  Erin believes that Ben Bernanke’s baby face gives us hope for new beginnings.
